Social Memberships - 2024
We are pleased to now be offering a Social Membership at Bancoora. Social memberships are best for those who attend the club for social events only and are not active patrolling or nippers members. For $25 a social membership includes:
- Discounted bar prices
- Monthly membership draw
- Members only events and newsletters
- Laminated membership card

Membership Prices – Season 2023/24
On the recommendation of the 2022/23 General Committee, the Annual General Meeting decided to make a small increase in membership dues for the 2023/24 season. The membership fees are as outlined below.

| Associate Membership Membership fee covers all LSV affiliation fees, insurances, access to club and all social, fundraising and volunteering events. | $50.00 |
| Standard Family Membership Patrolling families, 2 adults and 2 children/students not participating in Nippers/Young Guns Membership fees covers all LSV affiliation fees, access to Lifesaving training and qualifications, insurance, access to club and equipment, competition fees | $280.00 |
| Family plus 1 Nipper / Young Gun Membership fees covers participation in 8-week program including all equipment & resources, all LSV affiliation fees, access to Lifesaving training and qualifications, insurance, access to club and equipment, competition fees | $330.00 |
| Family plus 2 Nippers / Young Guns Membership fees covers participation in 8-week program including all equipment & resources, all LSV affiliation fees, access to Lifesaving training and qualifications, insurance, access to club and equipment, competition fees | $360.00 |

Additional Notes:
- $10.00 per person paid in membership dues will be allocated to the Club’s building fund.
- In relation to Family Memberships, please note all members of the family are required to be a member
if your child or children are participating in nippers or young guns. - For a person between 18 – 25 years to be included in a Family Membership, she/he must produce a student card. The person must be direct relations of the adults of the Family Membership.
- When registering on the Surf Life Saving Australia portal you can create a family group so you can link yourself, partner, and children under one renew. This needs to be created first, check all details are correct of all members then click renew and this will renew all members in the family.

All memberships are processed through Life Saving Victoria. If you are new to the Club you should complete a Membership Application for EACH member of your family taking part (including parents/guardians if Nippers).

Q: I have forgotten my password for the Members Area?
A: If you have forgotten your username or password, click the reminder link on the main login page: members.sls.com.au
Enter you first name, last name, DOB and select email or SMS to receive your reminder.
Q: I have submitted my membership application but forgot to pay. How do I pay?
A: Log into you Members Area account: members.sls.com.au
Select Memberships>Renewals, Payments & Transfers > Make a payment. Follow the prompts to make a payment, making sure you have filled in all relevant details in the ‘Complete name / Meaningful payment details’ section.
Q: I require further assistance.

Working with Children Checks
Safeguarding children and young people is everyone’s business. Life Saving Victoria and affiliated clubs need to fully comply with the Child Safe Standards from 1 January 2017.
It is imperative that we provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people and, because of the nature of our Club facilities Bancoora SLSC require ALL members aged 18 and over (despite contact with children under 18) to hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). WWCCs are free for volunteers and last for 5 years.
